Midgame they have a powerspike with armor stacking through aegistank+purifier or aegistank+racial tier5-6. Promethean - I dislike purifier, but giving healing mods to your normal racial infantry + spamming plasmoids makes their earlygame strong despite that. Voidtech - Echo Walker by itself isn't that good but it copies ANY once per ability/long cooldown mod you give it- with just the grenade mod from the voidtech tech tree itself it becomes better in autocombat than any first secret tech unit for a low research cost (minimum research tier 5 mods are needed for iniate/etc to do better), Phase Manipulators are the best aircraft stack in the entire game, so its great for manual combat later on. Psynumbra, Voidtech, Vanguard, Assembly,Promethean, Celestian, Dvar, Xenoplague, Amazon, Syndicate Syndicate, Xenoplague, Promethean, Amazon Kind of need multiple categories compared to AoW3 where early-midgame is everything.
